Bethnal Green Library exhibition 2010

In April and May 2010, we built the physical manifestation of the exhibition in Bethnal Green Library.  Over the course of five weeks, the old disused lecture hall was transformed into an exciting exhibition which brought together Evliya's travel accounts with European accounts using films, music, storytelling, unique archive images and more.

The preview took place on May 13th and the exhibition was open to the public on the 14th and 15th.  We received a deluge of visitors, and were excited to be able to share Evliya's stories with people from so many different walks of life.

After all the cleaning, painting, draping, and constructing we were sad to tear it all down, but not before we had digitally captured everything.  The exhibition was built to last forever and Evliya will be back once we have finished building the online manifestation...
