Suki Chan, "hotly tipped installation dreamer"

By Natalia Chan

We are very privileged to be working with Suki, who some of you may also remember from BBC 2’s School of Saatchi where she was selected by an esteemed panel – artist Tracey Emin, critic Matthew Collings, art collector Frank Cohen, head of art galleries at The Barbican, Kate Bush, and Charles Saatchi himself - to appear in the four part series.

Suki is a rising star in the art world and her films, photography, and installations have received multiple acclamations.  You can read more about her previous works - including ‘Sleep Walk Sleep Talk’ and ‘Interval II’ - on her website.  She is currently curating an exhibition at Jerwood Space entitled ‘For the Sake of Image’, which you should definitely visit.

“A contemplative, hazy tumble through security guards, graffiti artists, commuters and economists, this sleepwalk shifts from the subversive and aspirational to everyday monotony and mundanity, from travellers slumbering on buses to businessmen and groups of skaters.” - about Sleep walk Sleep talk

“Suki Chan’s art makes us wonder in more ways than one. It enables us to treasure the wonder of the world through daring to suggest the dreadful cost of the loss of such wonderful phenomena.” - Robert Clark
