Community Health Knowledge
Black and brown communities have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and neglected by the UK government’s lack of clear, accessible information. Escuela Nueva in the UK
Over the course of three years, Maslaha worked in partnership with Fundación Escuela Nueva (FEN) in Colombia and four UK primary schools to explore how the internationally acclaimed FEN model could be adapted to tackle educational inequalities in the UK.
Gender Based Violence in Hong Kong
In 2016 Maslaha embarked on a collaborative project with RainLily, a crisis centre for survivors of sexual violence in Hong Kong, to develop cultural competency among front line workers working with Muslim and other ethnic minority women in Hong Kong.
All We Are
Maslaha’s work in this area has been focused on highlighting the disproportionate rise in young Muslim men in the criminal justice system with the number doubling over the past 10 years. Our reports have also highlighted the discrimination that exists within the criminal justice system and the particular impact of Islamophobia.

The Book of Travels is an online and physical exhibition which explored the exchange of ideas and knowledge between the Ottomans and Europeans through medicine, trade, storytelling, architecture and music.
Hepatitis B & C
Maslaha developed an online resource - Understandhepbandc.org – that aims to increase awareness and understanding of hepatitis B and C amongst the Pakistani community in East London, and is suitable for both community members and GPs/medical practitioners.
